2018 Curiosity Challenge Assignment

This is an assignment everyone should complete-it will count as a classwork/homework grade. It must be completed and submitted to me on Monday, 2/5/18 so that I can put the entries in the mail for the Cambridge Science Festival's Curiosity Challenge. You will complete the entry label in class on Monday. Typically I submit all entries to the contest-please email or see me if you have any concerns.

What are you curious about?

Assignment: Whatever it is, create original artwork or a creative writing piece about your curiosity.

Creative writing can be a poem, short story, or essay (maximum 500 words).

Artwork must be 2-dimensional (drawing, painting, photography, and computer generated work), and must fit on a 9" x 12" page (printer paper is 8.5" x 11" and is also acceptable). Bold colors are most effective and reproduce best (thin magic markers work well).

Artwork/writing combinations are also acceptable.

Winning entries are compiled and published in a book, and student winners and their families are invited to the Curiosity Awards, which includes a brunch at MIT, on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Douglas students have been selected as winners in each of the past 5 years.
