About Middle School Cross Country

The goal is to foster a love of running!
Preteens are developing physically at all different rates. 
Many adolescents will have growth spurts this year or next. Over use of any muscles is the greatest cause of injury, therefore we will be varying the workouts to build strong muscles, endurance, and increase speed.
We will talk about nutrition, especially eating healthy and drinking plenty of water daily.
We will learn the importance of stretching before and after a run.
We will foster teamwork – running together, cheering each other on, and celebrating all of our individual and team accomplishments.

Practice Dates Before School Starts:

*meet outside middle school auditorium doors in back of school*

Monday, August 19th - 9:00 am - 10:15 am

Wednesday, August 21st - 9:00 am - 10:15 am

Friday, August 23rd - 9:00 am - 10:15 am

Monday, August 26th - 3:30 pm - 4:45 pm


Practice Once School Starts

*meet outside the gym for attendance*

Regular practices will start Wednesday, August 28th and will be held

Monday - Friday  2:05 pm- 3:30 pm


No Practice Dates in August/September:

No practice Friday, August 30th

No practice Monday, September 2nd

No practice Friday, September 6th

Friday, September 27th - Ocean State Invitational @ Goddard State Park
